      To take full control and management of assigned portfolio of special assets and other excess positions, and in liaison with relevant officers, implement recommended actions to recover value for the bank.Key Responsibilities:1. Review the excess and arrears reports from all branches every morning and obtain satisfactory responses from the Branch Managers or Account Relationship Managers with a view to recover the arrears positions in the shortest time possible.2. Monitor and report on any unauthorized excesses on accounts.3. Undertake actions for each of the persistent or troublesome positions on a daily basis.4. Make a report of any persistent accounts in arrears with recommended actions to the Recoveries Committee on a monthly basis.5. Implement all recommendations of the Recoveries Committee with regard to accounts in arrears / excess positions.6. Keep custody of all files placed under Special Assets and ensure they are neatly maintained and ensure their orderly movement and updates.7. Daily review of all accounts in assigned portfolio and update the Senior Manager, Special Assets and the Recoveries Committee on any significant developments (internally or externally) with regard to improvement or deterioration of the positions and chances of recovery.8. Every week, monitor movements in the Special Assets accounts (credits or debits) and recommend appropriate adjustments in provisions.9. Ensure that all interest charged on Special Assets is reviewed every month and suspended (The Non-Accrual Principle), and recommend any reversals of interest in suspense or conversion of accounts into Accrual Basis. 10. Maintain dialogue on a continuous basis with all third parties i.e. Lawyers, Auctioneers, Debt Collectors etc, and update the Recoveries Committee on a weekly basis on any significant developments.11.
