I had the most fun job in the world! I enjoyed building with legos, playing with play-doh, painting, coloring, making mosaics, going to camp, toasting smores, and racing through ropes courses, all while sharing the love of God with children. The more grown-up aspects of my job included supervising our Early Education Center, directing Vacation Bible School, leading parenting courses and other Bible studies, and facilitating learning through our Sunday School and Kids on Mission programs. I had the priviledge of organizing our Fall Festival community outreach each year during downtown trick-or-treat, and I could serve up 1,000 hot dogs with a day's notice (and some very helpful volunteers!). I learned that children love glow-sticks and that you should stay away from power lines if you plan to have a church-wide launching of sky lanterns at VBS Family Night (scary and beautiful at the same time!). Every day at my job was a wonderful adventure waiting to happen! Show less
