Our organization uses McKesson Products. The Emergency Department uses Horizon Emergency Care (HEC) software. I am the Emergency Department Nurse Clinical Analyst and I am part of the Clinical Systems Group. I participate in system-wide activities around design, build and implementation of clinical content and workflow. I work with the build teams to ensure smooth transition from ‘design to build to implementation’. I am an advocate for change within the Emergency Department as well as preparing the staff to adopt new workflows, processes and system tools to accomplish excellence in charting and keep in ARRA compliance. I helped implement the computer software called Forerun in the Emergency Department for the Physician Group. This software is being used with HEC.
