Patricia (Trish) Doon ACC MBAFin - Functional Triage for Nonprofits
Barbara works with her clients to build systems to work on their business. As a business partner, Barb looks for the opportunities to manage and control operating costs. She is able to build on that knowledge and implement higher level tools to create Budgeting and Forecasting specific to her client's needs with the levers that drive revenues. When it comes to Strategic Planning, Barb can elevate the Budgeting and Forecasting discussion to think generatively about your future to build a plan of action.

The day Barb joined us I knew our Exec Team was going to be stronger instantaneously. Though I haven't worked with her for years now, I can still vividly recall the emotional stability she brought to charged situations, the tact in which she navigated challenging personnel issues, the intelligence to problem-solve on her own and even the humility she consistently showed every department lead in respecting their position and knowledge. I served with Barb on many committees and groups, such as ones focused on Shipping Policies, Inventory Management, Culture Committee and more - and I loved being on her team. She is the only CFO I knew at the time who had the gravitas to handle matters assertively, maintain a consistent focus on financial impacts and responsibilities, but also "have a heart" as Randy Pausch so eloquently put in his book describing how companies should be. In order for a company to be good, it must have good leaders and Barb was undeniably that for us. I am smarter and wiser after having worked beside Barb. I admire her still, and was honored enough to work with her that I still hold out hope we may one day do so again. A+ in my book.
