  The biggest challenge in TIS was to build a team that will be able to perform testing with good coverage of an application built for the last 25 years and be able to support new features in understanding and testing. To achieve that goal I place myself with a higher goal, to make the QA department a vital part in the chain of software development in TIS. I grew the automation team and got a 4:1 ratio between automation engineers and manual engineers in testing. This enables me to perform full regression tests running as part of the nightly builds and partial regression tests as part of our CI. To date, we cover 25% of the application functionality and keep on growing. We cover the back-end, front-end (UI), mobile and API with automated tests. I’m also responsible for our cloud-based (Azure) activity, including creating environments (servers, DBs, websites, etc.), deploying and configuring. As the QA manager in TIS, I'm also responsible for the performance testing of our products. Working closely with my peers in R&D and creating reports to my direct manager (Head of engineering). The QA team was also responsible for the entire company cloud solutions (Azure), including environments (Dev, QA, Prod), deployment (CI/CD), performance and reporting. Like in other roles I had, I find that the only way to achieve progress and productivity in the team's work is by empowering individuals and providing them the space to be creative in their day to day work, local and offshore. We were able to develop an MVP but had to close the company since we were not able to penetrate the US market.
