Objects acquire a whole new meaning when introduced within a specific context: we value the atmosphere they create rather than the meaning of the object itself. By… Show more By building up this project, our main purpose was to shatter the thin border existing between what we usually consider as art, design and craft. Objects acquire a whole new meaning when introduced within a specific context: we value the atmosphere they create rather than the meaning of the object itself. This Gallery Bar project, considered as a hybrid between a Concept Store, a Gallery and a Design Store, was meant to offer a new approach of the creative fields to a broader audience. By focusing on the method rather than on the final piece itself, la Moodstore was intended to offer a new vision of the act of creation. My main tasks, beside the conceptualization and realization of the whole project from scratch into a running project, were to organize exhibitions every two months, pulling up daily events such as concerts, workshops and presentations. On the other hand, dealing with the day-to-day concerns of the bar represented an important fraction of my involvement. Show less
