      A trio of entrepreneurs joined forces in 1992 to create Mighty Fine - a Los Angeles based design studio that grew from a progressive yet underground t-shirt line to an internationally recognised fashion force and brand innovator.I joined Mighty Fine in 2005 charged with the task of managing global licensing for company owned brands and establishing an in-house marketing department. I worked in harmony with design & sales to effectively market Mighty Fine brands and was supported by an amazing team of 5. Together we oversaw the development of new brands and the brand management of existing. This included strategy development, branding, packaging, photo shoots, advertising, retail fitouts, BTB & BTC marketing initatives, tradeshows and public relations. Key retailers included Kitson, Lisa Kline, Hot Topic, Barneys, Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, Macys, JC Penney, Kohl's & Sears just to name a few.We also managed the global licensing for company owned brands including French Kitty, Ruby Gloom & Bad Cat. Establishing a network of global brand managers & licensees across a range of categories including apparel, footwear, accessories, cosmetics, retail stores, stationery and publishing. For Ruby Gloom we even developed of an animated TV series with our partner Corus Entertainment in Canada.Key territories developed included Japan, SE Asia, China, UK, Europe, UAE, South America & Australia.Mighty Fine are a truly extraordinary family of people who gave me so many amazing experiences and taught me many valuable skills.

      Established in 1977, Gaffney International Licensing was Australiasia's largest independent licensing & brand management company. Gaffney managed intellectual property rights / trademarks on behalf of original rights owners of famous brands. The company was responsible for A$500M worth of licensed consumer products at retail annually. Managing major world-wide brands in the Australasian market, the company was also responsible for taking various Australian brands to international territories. These brands include Bananas in Pyjamas, The Wiggles, Shirley Barber's Fairies, Saddle Club and The Crocodile Hunter. As Senior Brand Manager I was charged with diversifying the companies portfolio to include fashion & consumer brands. Brands included Arnott's, Fosters, Coca-Cola, Jack Daniel's, Kellogg's, Surf Life Saving Australia, Playboy, French Kitty and Vision Streetwear. Total retail sales for division in 2005 were over A$60M.
