Worked during the summers of 2018&19 on mixing heated fresh groundwater with geothermal brine. Designed bench-scale experiments to test applicability of the suggested changes to the district heating system in Reykjavík. Also helped out with various geothermal sampling and chemical analysis. I created a wind power workshop aimed a teaching children about energy, electricity generation and wind turbines. Students got to experiment with fundamental electronics and ultimately create their own wind turbine and measure its capacity to create electricity. To secure the financial future and social platform for the project, I established a collaboration with the National Power Company and the science outreach team of the University of Iceland who provided the funds and the platform, respectively. I hired several engineering students to assist me and finally replace me. The project continues to exist after I parted with it. Show less

On-site geothermal sampling and analysis at Krafla geothermal power station. Helped plan a complete tracer test for the entire production reservoir and orchestrated sample management during first and most intensive sampling period. Took care of lab and sampling tech management and assisted on various ongoing projects. On-site geothermal sampling and analysis at Krafla geothermal power station.
