Director, Product Technology Engineering
-
Apr 2004 - Oct 2008
Managed a group of up to 12 experienced engineers and technicians. Responsible for sustaining of all electrical components of cryogenic receiver front end (CRFE) product, working closely with manufacturing and cryo/mechanical engineering groups. Principal Investigator DARPA SURF program. Co-invented a patented approach to tunable/reconfigurable fitlers. Co-invented a patented approach to computer-assisted filter trimming. Delivered first-ever tunable HTS filter system to customer. Co-developed embedded tunable filter control system (C/Assembler) using AD Blackfin platform.

Manager, Technology Programs/Device Physicist
-
Jul 1996 - Apr 2004
Technical program manager and key technical contributor to two DARPA-funded programs aimed at developing tunable filters. Led a cross-disciplinary group of engineers and scientists to develop MEMS tunes HTS filters and ultra-selective electro-mechanically tuned HTS filters. Identified sources and mechanisms of intermodulation distortion in HTS circuits and developed patented novel circuits to reduce these effects. Stabilized and maintained internal RF simulation package. Worked closely with patent and litigation attorneys during discovery phase of patent lawsuit.
