The U.S. Department of Labor funded project on enforcement and Investigation of labor and criminal law to address child labor, forced labor and human trafficking (ATLAS Project) - Coordinated with international law practitioners to design and improve techniques for investigation, prosecution, and litigation of forced labor, child labor, and human trafficking cases - Developed outline of legal conference between U.S. and Thai prosecutors and judges to discuss prosecuting and sentencing complex cases of child labor and exploitation cases, as well as forced labor and human trafficking cases, resulting in a new framework for Thai courts to use to protect human rights - Drafted new guidelines for investigating child and forced labor to improve and standardize investigation practices - Researched gaps in victim care from government agencies and non-profit organizations to identify areas for improvement - Designed training programs that emphasized rehabilitation and psychological treatment throughout the investigative and prosecuting process in order to ensure victims and suspects’ right to a fair trial -Delivered advisory and technical supports to various government entities to enhance effective policies, law enforcement, judicial review process and social services.
