Responsible for pavement condition survey and review of investigation data, review of pavement design, and construction materials, & to ensure life cycle cost effectiveness and viable design of pavement. Ensure the usage of material and mix as per specifications (QCS2010, QCS2014 & project specifications). Review and Comment on the Contractor Program submission by analyzing the sufficiency of plant, manpower, financial S-curve, accuracy of quantities, rate of output and material source proposed by him and construction methodology of sub-base, road-base & asphalting works. Review & comments on the ITP (inspection & testing plan). Day to day site inspection and prepare the site inspection report. Review the traffic survey and axle load survey for design the roads and the cost-effective pavement thickness. Review the Construction and Maintenance Manual. Supervise the regular quality control test at site and laboratory. Review the mix design of sub-base, base course, asphalt. Check the borrow materials for road works. Check Good for construction drawings and As-built drawings. Review the sufficiency and approve the Contractor Quality Assurance Manual and Maintenance Manual, Traffic Management Plan, Health, Safety and Environmental Plan by ensuring that it covers the minimum Technical Specifications and Guidelines as required while assisting the Senior Resident Engineer, Safety Engineer, and Material Engineer & QA/QC Manager. Monitor progress against the work program submitted by the Contractor. Evaluate the pavement design process. Develop the Pavement Management System. Liaising and coordination with the clients (ASHGHAL), ANAS (design consultant), KBR (project management consultant), sub-consultants and (QBC) contactor. Checking the riding quality, evenness test & other tests as per specifications.
