Babatunde Olufemi has been serving as a translation volunteer with our ministry since March 2020, and in July 2020 he became the Team Leader of the Yoruba translation team. I have worked with Babatunde for the last year on the YouVersion Team as he has played an integral role in helping us to launch the Yoruba language into the App with an App interface and experience for Yoruba Speakers. Babatunde has contributed an incredible amount of pro bono translation work during his time serving as a volunteer on the YouVersion team. He has translated and edited more than 150,000 words. He has been able to contribute at this significant level even while serving as a Team Leader of the Yoruba team for the past year, which also means he is responsible for leading approximately 10 translators to ensure deadlines are completed on time. Babatunde and his team translated the entire app interface (buttons, menus, emails, etc.) for our products, as well as devotional content provided by Christian influencers and publishers. He has displayed competency in professional translation skills, knowledge, and technology requirements while fulfilling this role as a volunteer. Babatunde has displayed excellent work ethic, dependability, and loyalty to our mission. We enjoy having him and his leadership on our team.

Olufemi Babatunde was an intern in the quality assurance department of the factories I managed and he was very hardworking, had a strong desire to learn and also added value in his own way. What fascinates me about him is his intelligence and ability to think outside the box. I recommend him for any challenging and intellectual role. He sure will be an asset to any employer.
