As the President of the Hungarian Society I have had the opportunity to not just shape and impact the life of the Hungarian community in the United Kingdom but also to work with a dedicated and very well prepared team. During my time as the President, I have learned the amazing benefits but also the hardships, the role comes with. It is an amazing feeling to give back something to your fellow Hungarian students and create a community of likeminded people. While the presidency is without doubt an amazing and rewarding assignment to have, keeping up the enthusiasm and dedication throughout the year can become difficult sometimes. I certainly believe that we overcame these difficulties and did everything in our power to improve the lives of the Hungarians at our University. When I was elected for the role I set the goal of creating a stronger Hungarian community in London, a dream for which me and my team has definitely created the foundation for, throughout this year.🇭🇺 Show less

In the 2020 WIMUN New York conference, I have had the honour of being the secretary of the UN Environment Assembly, which looked upon the growing problem of illegal wildlife trade. As a secretary I was tasked to train the delegates in the intricacies of the WIMUN approach and to oversee the efficient conduct of the debate, led by the facilitator of the working group.Throughout the conference, my role thought me the importance of consensus in solving issues such as the illicit trade of wildlife and wildlife products and the responsibility of a leader in facilitating agreements in these debates. Alongside drug, arms and human trafficking, wildlife and forest crimes have become a predominant illicit trafficking activity. It is estimated that wildlife and forest crime raises a profit between $10 and $23 billion annually, rendering it the fourth-most profitable illegitimate trade. Given that wildlife crime has a destructive effect on environmental integrity and cultural and economic development, it is an issue which can only be tackled by international cooperation. Show less
