TechLabs is a learning platform for young people of all disciplines where they can learn to code. I volunteered as a Data Science mentor at the Digital Shaper Program, where students undertake a technical project over the course of 6 months. As a mentor, I coached my team of three students to get their project from idea & vision to execution and wrap-up. I also assessed the scope and the feasibility of the project and provided technical guidance through their journey. My team developed a "Toxic Comment Filter Bot" which filtered out negative comments on social platforms. It was a supervised, multilabel classification problem, and LSTM was used to classify users' comments into different categories. At the end of the term, my team won "the best project" title, among 16 groups altogether. 🏆 Show less
