As a PhD researcher in the Pharmacognosy laboratory at the Faculty of Pharmacy in Dijon, my main activities and responsibilities include: Conducting a multidisciplinary research project (phytochemistry, biotechnology, pharmacology) between Tunisia and France. - Phytochemistry: working with medicinal and aromatic plants to extract high-value plant material and develop active ingredients. - Chemistry: purifying therapeutic molecules using chromatographic techniques (HPLC, MPLC, Flash, HPTLC, TLC) and structurally characterizing complex molecules using various spectroscopic techniques (1D and 2D NMR, ESI/TOF, MS, IR, UV). Analyzing essential oils using GC/MS and 13C NMR. - Biotechnology: biotransformation of natural molecules, in vitro plant culture, human cell cultures (HT 29, HCT 116). - Pharmacology: evaluating biological activities such as cytotoxicity, inflammation, antibacterial, antifungal, and acetylcholinesterase activity. Conducting antioxidant potential analysis using DPPH and ABTS tests. - Molecular biology: extracting DNA/RNA, performing PCR, Western blot, and ELISA. - Communication and writing skills: presenting research findings at scientific forums, congresses, and meetings. Preparing reports, theses, bibliographic syntheses, and publications. - Management: supervising interns, managing and planning research projects. The work of this doctoral thesis has been published in international journals with an impact factor, and was presented to a jury, earning congratulations and a distinction of "very honorable mention" in 2010.
