I worked as an Early Stage Researcher - as a Biosciences person in an interdisciplinary team of an EU project "HyMedPoly Horizon 2020 for the Development of Drug-Free Antibacterial Hybrid Biopolymers for Medical Application" in a cooperation between academy, industry, and clinic. - Development of 3D human skin model. - Development of S. aureus colonized 3D human skin infection model. - Optimization of in vitro assays for 3D cell culture system. - 2D vs. 3D comparative… Show more I worked as an Early Stage Researcher - as a Biosciences person in an interdisciplinary team of an EU project "HyMedPoly Horizon 2020 for the Development of Drug-Free Antibacterial Hybrid Biopolymers for Medical Application" in a cooperation between academy, industry, and clinic. - Development of 3D human skin model. - Development of S. aureus colonized 3D human skin infection model. - Optimization of in vitro assays for 3D cell culture system. - 2D vs. 3D comparative bio-evaluation study of most commonly used antibacterial wound dressings in clinics. Employing the conventional antibacterial and cytotoxicity assessment methods; and comparing the thus obtained bio-evaluation results with the ones obtained using 3D skin and 3D skin infection models as advanced tools for in vitro risk and antibacterial properties’ assessment. - In vitro bio-evaluation of novel antimicrobial polymeric biomaterials prepared by collaborative partners under the HyMedPoly project intended for treating infected wound healing applications. ~ Best practices in managing collaborative R&D projects. ~ Preparation of deliverable reports. ~ Periodic project meetings to present & discuss results with partners.
