* Develop skills in digital research and visualization techniques across subjects and fields within the humanities. a)The Endangered Archives Programme (EAP) 1525, British Library Led the digitization of Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industries' trade reports as part of EAP 1525. Analyzed legal records, famine accounts, and governance data, unveiling nuanced socio-economic insights. Revealed the British Raj's strategies and their repercussions on the Indian Subcontinent, offering a unique perspective on colonial operations and outcomes. b) Victoria Memorial Hall, Kolkata This project aims to digitization of paper documents, generating digital surrogates, image processing and metadata creation of paintings, rare books, journals and miscellaneous paper records of the Victoria Memorial Hall on behalf of The School of Cultural Texts and Records. c) Jibanananda Das Papers The research project aims to create an extremely valuable resource for the students of modern Bengali poetry. By digitising these invaluable manuscripts it ensures their preservation, and makes them available for generations of future researchers in the field. Once the digital variorum is fully collated, to the best of our knowledge, apart from Bichitra, it will be the only other resource of this kind pertaining to Bengali poetry. d) Digital archive of Gurbux Singh I am involved in an exciting project at the School of Cultural Text and Records, Jadavpur University, where we are building a comprehensive digital archive dedicated to the remarkable achievements of Gurbux Singh, a renowned former field hockey player from India. By digitizing photographs, videos, and personal records, we aim to inspire future generations and celebrate Gurbux Singh's contributions to Indian sports. Show less
