I joined Aecom in December 2012 and have since gained experience on a wide variety of projects. This experience includes Air Quality Progress Reports, Updating and Screen Assessments, DMRB assesement, WebTAG and AAQuIRE modelling. I regularly use programs such as ArcGIS to aid with the preparation and presentation of work. While working with Aecom, I am gaining experience in various forms of air quality monitoring including diffusion tube, TEOM, FDMS, chemiluminescence and landfill gas monitoring. Part of my responsibilities include the ratification and reporting of the monitored data, management of the monitoring campaigns and client interactions. Show less

This research project aimed to improve the understanding of the Indoor/Outdoor air quality relationship at urban commercial buildings in Dublin, Ireland. In order to gain the required understanding, I required data for Dublin sites, therefore monitoring was conducted. I collected real-time concentrations of PM2.5 and NO2 at 10 commercial buildings. I then analysed the collected data with respect to; time series plots of the indoor and outdoor concentrations for each site, indoor/outdoor air quality ratios, lag times between outdoor fluctuations and the associated indoor fluctuations, NO/NO2 relationships and the dosage of PM2.5 and NO2 to occupants of the 10 monitored buildings. I combined the use of the regression and recursive mass balance technique proved useful for predicting NO2 concentrations indoors using building characteristics. Finally, I used forward prediction ability of trained Artificial Neural Networks using outdoor data an meteorological concentrations in order to predict indoor concentrations. Show less
