I am one of the co-founders and current President of Duro UAS an Advanced Robotics Manufacturing company located in the South Bronx that builds autonomous vehicles and sensors for the maritime industry. | Aviv was on our AUV team for two months and was a great asset to everyone here at Duro. In his capacity at Duro, he performed and successfully completed the duties assigned to him on the electrical engineering team and met all responsibilities with utmost dedication, hard work and compassion. He is a very talented individual who gives his best effort in everything he takes up. All team members at Duro including Michael O’Meara, CTO and lead Mechanical Engineer Bradley Kaufman engineer on the Harbor AUV project gave Aviv high remarks on his current technical knowledge as well as his ability to be an exceptional leaner when coming to topics or tasks outside his current realm of understanding. We found this to be one of his greatest strengths, the ability to learn and troubleshoot issues quickly. Aviv was also very easy to communicate with and is an excellent listener. Communication between other engineering teams (mechanical, computer, software) is so important in robotics. Aviv also showed exceptional skills in understanding the complexities of subsea devices that operate in complex environmental conditions and had a good attention to detail when looking at schematics or the data sheets for a variety of sensors and custom PCB boards used by Duro. I strongly recommend Aviv Arusi for any future programs or positions he may pursue in the future.
