Janwaar Castle is India’s largest skatepark and uses skateboarding as a catalyst to break down gender and caste barriers, and promote education amongst children. I have been involved with Janwaar for about 5 years now. In this period of time, I have had the chance to support and lead different initiatives along with Ulrike and the villagers. Open school project: Took English classes with Asha so that she may pass on her skills to the other children in Janwaar. 2. The data project: Mobilised 8 volunteers to collect and analyse data from over 80 households in Janwaar to understand scheme eligibility and other issues.
