I have had the pleasure of knowing Avery for a couple of years now. I have always been impressed with how mature and well mannered she is. My 2 girls loved her immediately. She was babysitting, house watching, or letting the dog out soon after we first met. I would recommend her services to anyone. She is dependable and trustworthy. -Keith Phillips

Working with Dandelion Branding on a pro-bono project, our team is learning about holistic marketing through consulting on communication strategy for Tari, a regenerative farm in Uganda. We are analyzing their current processes and resources to identify improvement areas, specifically within their website: Tari.Earth. Our team will assist Tari in gaining a better understanding of their 'voice,' identifying their target audience, determining their key messages, and establishing effective communication strategies. For 8 weeks, our group collaborated with the non-profit HCF to build relationships and understanding with Historic African-American Communities in Charleston county. We interviewed dozens of community leaders and institutional representatives to understand different people's relationship with preservation and what it looks like to them. Throughout this process, we built connections with so many amazing people while learning their intimate stories and prospective plans for the future. At the end of the summer, we authored a 75-page report to be given back to the communities we met for ownership and support in their future endeavors. We also hosted a community event with Rodney Scott BBQ to bring together the people we met with to foster connections and create space. This summer taught me about different perspectives and the impact history continues to have on today. I improved my interviewing and research skills, along with seeing the importance of creating connections with those around me--within and outside of work. As an outsider to these communities, I could not be more appreciative of the welcomeness we received and the challenging conversations we faced. Show less

Through the Women In STEM organization, we created a branch of the club at my high school. I coordinated and ran all networking events both online during COVID and in person after. Managed recruiting, helped build resumes, and provided college application advice. Through the Women In STEM organization, we created a branch of the club at my high school. After attending multiple WIC events, I was invited to be a Panelist at the Youth Entrepreneurship & Mentorship Circle Digital Summit 2021. We spoke to over 300 international students about the meaning of networking, building connections, and inspiring others. Then proceeded to have multiple round tables with current women entrepreneurs and students. Representing students interested in technology, I provided insight into creating more spaces for young women to become involved and learn about the business world with a focus on tech. I created a structure for a webcast program and spoke to board members and invitees about the importance of young women entering the Busi-Tech industry.
