I worked with Avery during our time at User Experience Society as student leaders. What striked me about him is his relentless passion for infusing the customer's perspective into his design process, by facilitating co-design workshops and leading user interviews. Informed by a strong empathy for the customer, he can then create frictionless digital experiences backed by a strong sense for UI and visual design. What I admire most about Avery is his growth mindset and willingness to overcome his weaknesses and sharpen his strengths. As a leader, he's a proponent of instilling psychological safety for his team, and I see him genuinely caring for them and their growth. I would recommend Avery to anyone who wants a strong design leader backed with solid human-centered design fundamentals and a heart to lead.

      Glo-cal Advanced Systems, Inc. was our client for our capstone project management thesis. Our team managed the project for an entire year and created an IT Service Management System from scratch which focuses on more efficient case tracking, informed issue resolution, and detailed case analytics for Glo-cal's post-sales services. - Conducted detailed project selection review with the team through quantitative (NPV, ROI, and payback period) and qualitative (Profile Modeling) methodologies. - Created the estimated project financials of the year-long project, making sure that every project expense is within our budget. - Worked with context-level, data flow, use case diagrams, and functional requirements of the IT Service Management System to reengineer the business process. - Created numerous iterations of wireframes and mockups of the final system. - Conducted stakeholder interviews and facilitated the usability testing process of the system to the client. - Created a user manual for the entire system to train their employees in navigating through the system.       I spearheaded and facilitated design research initiatives for the organization. I made sure more members of the organization are involved in our events and in our design process.I was part of the team in redesigning the TALAB enlistment system of Ateneo, which the school used as a medium for students to enlist in their extra-curricular classes. In this project, I spearheaded user research through screening and interviewing Ateneans who are fit for our co-design session. Then, I facilitated the co-design session involving the screened participants to help us out with our design strategy. The design research initiative has proved to yield positive results from the students. According to our survey with 98 respondents after the enlistment, 90% of respondents had an overall positive experience. In the sample, 32% said their experience was “smooth.” 28% commented on how the whole thing was fast and/or easy. 50% had no problems at all.Moreover, I became a speaker and talked about Design Research in User Experience Society's event called UX University, where we aim to educate participants the value of UX and the entire design process from user research to usability testing.
