Bio
Trent Montgomery
Austin is one of the best people I have had the opportunity to work with. His research skills and incredible work ethic extend to and contribute greatly to every project and team he works on. I can't recommend him enough. His foresight and ability to plan and deliver quality results make him an outstanding candidate. He is personable and would greatly benefit any team or department.

I would like to offer my sincere recommendation for Austin Pack. I first met Austin in the summer of 2017 and have since had the privilege of working very closely with him on several large projects. During this time, Austin has sustained a level of motivation, persistence, and productivity that most of us only fantasize about. Austin exudes the exact pedagogical knowledge, research expertise, and all-around diligence which make him a singular candidate of utmost competence that every employer is looking for. As an academic, Austin has excelled in several positions of teaching, of service, and in research. He has taught a wide array of courses, which demonstrate his flexibility and diversity of knowledge. Austin works closely with each of his students, teaching on an intimate level, always taking the time to do it well. He achieves very high levels of engagement with his students, often introducing novel practices into his lessons. His teaching ability was recognized by the university at which we taught, when he was awarded Most Innovative Teaching Practice, a university-wide award that is bestowed only once in an academic year. In addition to his teaching, Austin has maintained a consistently high level of service to the university. Not for one semester has Austin neglected to take on roles of responsibility at the department or university levels. In this regard, he has again demonstrated a wide range of talent, such as creating and maintaining crucial aspects of the information technology infrastructure at the university, to designing courses and creating materials, to sitting on various committees. Perhaps his crowning achievement here was the pioneering of an educational technology space which was eventually adopted throughout the whole university, enhancing the learning experience of all students. In research, Austin was unparalleled in his department, which was composed of over 200 teachers. His scholarly output was prolific, to say the least. He partnered with several different teachers, created inter-departmental collaborations, and involved students in multiple research initiatives throughout his tenure at our university. Austin always shared the results of his work, whether through publication, conference engagement, or with colleagues at professional development symposiums. This level of academic engagement and productivity is rare even at the upper echelons of the academy, yet Austin managed this concurrently with his PhD studies. Working full time, participating in service and research beyond his obligations, and simultaneously completing a PhD is a phenomenal accomplishment. Personal integrity is a description which is easily applied to Austin. He is loyal, and will dedicate himself to your cause. He is the type of person you want to work with. He is responsible, conscientious, empathetic, and fun to be around. His work ethic is contagious. The years I spent involved in projects with Austin were some of the most productive of my
