Mechanical Engineering Co-op
-
Aug 2017 - Sep 2019
During my time as a Co-op at Harley-Davidson I have worked in two different areas of the company: design and testing. My time in design was spent working with the Softail platform team shortly after its release in 2018. I worked to remedy component issues present on models before their scheduled release. My time in testing was spent working in the structures lab in the Product Development Center and the systems lab at the Arizona Proving Ground. In the structures lab, I worked with servo-hydraulic load frames, strain gauges, torque-angle transducers, electrodynamic shakers, and various testing fixtures that were needed to collect test data. In the systems lab, I worked with chassis dynamometers to run long range mileage accumulation testing and emissions testing for new and existing vehicles. Show less
