Prepared and taught lab activities for PHY 101 - Introduction to Physics Lab and PHY 161 - University Physics I Lab. PHY 101 introduced physical principles, reasoning, and problem-solving techniques. PHY 161 covered calculus-based Physics, introductory Physics sequences, and classical mechanics. 80% of my students were from the U.S. and 20% were from the Middle East and Asia. Due to the language barriers I developed techniques such as using simple English words and gestures. These techniques were effective in helping them learn the PHY101 and PHY161 manuals and explaining the Physics concept they were struggling with.

Teaching General Physics and General Mathematics to freshmen. 90% of the students are from rural area of Indonesia which mostly do not speak our national language very good. The challenge was not only to teach them the concept of Physics and Math, but also to explain in their language (mother tongue) so they would understand the lesson better.
