Trabalhar diretamente com o Augusto foi uma experiência sensacional. A forma como ele passa confiança para a equipe e te incentiva a sempre melhorar tecnicamente e pessoalmente é algo que não é visto em todas as gestões.

Member and co-founder of the PHP User group, for the state of São Paulo, Brazil. We aim to spread and professionalize PHP in the Brazilian community by promoting events, organising recurrent meetups, selecting talks for events and easing the access to information. We developed non-profit partnerships with Microsoft, GitHub, Locaweb, Caelum, among others. We helped the creation of more than a dozen, similar, groups throughout Brazil by providing access to sponsorship kickstarting their first initiatives. Together with another User Groups around the world we helped to bring more people into PHP development, as users and core developers of the language, as well as spreading a "standard" of quality to be aimed by professionals of the language. We are an efficient, specialized, team of autonomous people offering a Credit Platform for businesses. I bridge strategic and tactical communication with the development team. I am responsible for the cohesion in value delivery, influencing business strategy and architecture. My responsibilities are prioritization, solutions architect, team building and continuous improvement. My priority on 1st year was to enable high availability. I've versioned existing code, migrated on-premises to AWS using Terraform and introduced a CD pipeline. I've built a high performance development team with a culture of ownership and metrics. Second year's priority was Customer Acquisition. Dozens of User Story Mappings were used to define Bounded Contexts (DDD) and guide the introduction of SOA. Anti-Curruption Layers, for example, were used to introduce 4 different operational workflows, only 1 was previously supported. After stabilization of the platform and multi-tenancy introduction, focus could be shifted towards UX and technical debt. Show less

While acting as the Manager and Technical reference for Backend and Data teams, I've helped them improve Driver's NPS, increase revenue, redesign the promotion systems and improve the reliability of all systems and architecture. I introduced the concept of Code Reviews and Continuous Delivery to an extent where we had a highly available system (300k req/s with 99.99% uptime) without requiring an on-call process where every developer, on a team of 80, deployed code to production multiple times a day. Maintenance of legacy platform (Drupal 7) and REST API (PHP 5.3, Symfony 2, OAuth2 server, MongoDb) for mobile applications communication (mainly through JSON+HAL). Developed Ansible roles for PHP and MySQL provisioning on Amazon AWS (production, staging) and Vagrant (development) environments. Engineered a Payment Gateway allowing multiple providers to be used simultaneously, different strategies could be used, and easily extended, to switch between them: traffic switch on errors, round robin and cost factors. Development was made using Scrum and TDD over a PHP 5.2 backend using existing Zend Framework and MySQL infra structure. I learned that sharing code with 10 developers is different than with 30, that not every solution involves coding and that there is value to be delivered by saying "no" to solutions. Show less

As a small digital agency, my activities were as varied as our customers, from managing projects to hiring people and designing products for internal and external marketing teams. I've head the opportunity to learn a lot on requirements and business value throughout different products and customers. After being attracted, for many years, to "good solutions" I was surprised to discover them to be as good as the problems they try solve. I left this opportunity to pursue working on a more complex environment, with more people and more critical problems, to battle-test my just "acquired" problem-identification abilities. Show less

Worked with the development of prototypes and allocated development on multimedia projects. Projects ranged from benchmarking technologies, developing APIs and administration interfaces, scaling software and hardware systems, architecture of new and existing projects, to project/product management and hiring. I've loved the opportunity to work on multiple projects, with different challenges and work environments. I longed, though, for an opportunity to work alongside other people for a longer period of time. Show less

Had all responsibilities, except graphic design, of product development while building a custom CMS for a portal website. Among many lessons, I've appreciated the value of full stack frameworks on preventing bike shedding and learned not to wear multiple hats with conflicting responsibilities. I helped develop ideas and integrate with existing solutions of the pre-press market using the LAMP stack. Maintained our proprietary Digital Asset Management software and created a new product targeted to Retail stores. With the retail product, I've had my first experience with the hat of a Product Owner and my first disappointment as well. I proposed using Excel spreadsheets to feed data into the system, as it was already what our customers were used to. And I've built an MVP to prove the product was useful, which became the product we actually started selling with a code and structure which could've been better. I left this opportunity to try and have more experience as a Product Owner (or manager). Show less

The company is the software house of Total Express, a parcel shipping logistics company which pioneered the model in Brazil. Helped maintain and develop new functionalities on the softwares responsible for managing warehouses and couriers (transportation tracking, address database and risk) also using the LAMP stack. This was my first experience with geolocation, internationalization and logistics. I loved working with a very specialised market, developing tailored solutions and understanding the problems I wasn't aware existed. Show less

My first professional experience developing software, having basic knowledge on shell-script and network administration. Given requisites and explanation on existing business rules I developed, tested and delivered new functionalities for an ERP, targeted to small medium stores, running on customer premises using Linux (Debian), Apache (2.1), MySQL (4.*) and PHP (4.*, 5.*). While maintaining servers and updates of our software on customer servers I developed a program to introspect and calculate differences between two database schemas, producing DDLs allowing one to match the other. I was quite proud of that at the time: I was able to solve a problem I had identified myself, trying multiple solutions and choosing the one worked best for me. I left the opportunity to pursue new challenges. Show less
