  The role of the Morning Editor at 7News.com.au is to coordinate, curate and innovate content across digital platforms. It required a passion for breaking news and features, as well as a solid understanding of how to grow audiences. On a daily basis, I was required to be the first on site and independently set editorial priorities for the day, before moving on to: - Manage and mentor a team of reporters, video producers, social producers and other platform producers; - Liaise with broadcast colleagues; - Handle rolling coverage for major news events; - Edit copy for maximum impact; - Program content on homepages; - Ideate and execute content strategy; - Support commercial partnerships to increase revenue opportunities; and - Work on long-term projects as a senior member of an ambitious 7News.com.au team.
