ResponsibilitiesNew product development: Plan, lead and implement R&D programme to develop products that meet regulatory and business goals. Key tasks include research on new ingredients and technology, innovative product proposal and formulation, feasibility and proof of concept studies, establishing scientific evidence for safety and efficacy, prototype development, establish and monitor product specification and stability plan, conduct analytical and sensory testings, risk assessment contingency planning, complete documentation process.Pre-clinical and clinical research: Source and coordinate with contract research organisations to design protocol for testing and validating product efficacy, safety, mechanism of action and proof of concept. Regulatory routes include medical device, food supplement, cosmetics and OTC medicine.- Commercialisation of an allergy nasal spray product.- Filing of two patent applications.- Completed several in vitro, in vivo and in house product testings which include planning, protocol design and result analysis.- Formulation and prototype development of a few variants of nasal spray for allergy management, tablets for allergy management and metabolic health, and functional chewing gum for oral health.
