      Woodlife Project (within the EU Seventh Research Frame Programme (FP7)): Synthesis of waterborne hybrid PVAc/silica wood adhesives, characterization, study of properties, morphology/properties relation. Challenge: to improve the mechanical and adhesive properties of a blank wood adhesive obtained from a standard recipe, which did pass neither the EN204-D2 test nor the Watt’91 test.Results: increase of 45% of the tensile strength for EN204-D2 standard test and 55% for Watt’91 test. The synthesized adhesive passed both tests. 2 papers published. Show less
