J'ai observé la capacité phénoménale d'intégration de Pascale en dirigeant un projet très difficile. Ma directrice m'a alors dit que Pascale, qui s'était jointe à nous quelques mois plus tôt sans connaître nos technologies et nos produits, était déjà reconnue pour être un de nos meilleurs atouts. Pascale a autant livré que nos programmeurs les plus expérimentés tout en se dégageant du temps pour guider les moins habitués (qui avaient tous plus d'ancienneté!) Aucun défi n'était trop difficile pour elle. Par la suite Pascale a pris en charge une équipe avec des responsabilités critiques. Dans ce rôle, ses aptitudes de résolution de problème brillaient continuellement d'une façon très impressionnante. Du jamais vu. Elle a aussi encadré et fait évoluer les pratiques de gestion et de collaboration (DevOps). Ce faisant, elle a su guider une équipe multidisciplinaire et assister généreusement les autres équipes de l'entreprise, dont les miennes. De plus, Pascale grandissait en aidant ses équipiers à grandir avec elle, tout en supportant leur diversité de façon exemplaire. Pascale s'est aussi beaucoup intéressée à la vie sociale de l'entreprise. Par exemple, certains d'entre nous avions réalisé qu'il serait utile d'améliorer nos collaborations avec l'équipe de support à la clientèle. Cependant, aucun ne trouvait le temps de marquer des progrès solides sur ce front. Lorsque Pascale est arrivée au même constat, elle a immédiatement mis en action et établi une pratique collaborative de plus en plus efficace, jusqu'au point où dans les autres équipes, nous avons pu nous sentir à l'aise de suivre son exemple. Par ailleurs, Pascale trouvait aussi le temps de participer très activement dans le comité mieux-être et dans des groupes ad-hoc qu'elle a créés, comme celui du jardinage, par exemple. Ce faisant, elle s'est tissée un réseau souvent rempli d'un humour qui rayonnait globalement dans l'entreprise. Si vous réfléchissez à contacter Pascale, je vous invite à considérer que pour être en mesure d'accueillir efficacement une employée avec autant de potentiel et de capacités, votre entreprise devrait probablement manifester une culture forte d'ouverture et de dialogue non seulement au niveau du leadership, mais aussi au niveau des équipes techniques. De plus, soyez prêts à la voir diriger ou participer très activement à toutes sortes d'initiatives qui feront évoluer vos pratiques, vos techniques et vos technologies. Pascale saura suivre un leadership technique convaincu, bien réfléchi et bien communiqué, ou contribuer son propre leadership en suivant les meilleurs conseils de l'industrie.
