• Funded by the Fondazione del il SUD; • Explored the current potential of web-based participatory mapping through an action-research perspective within an EU Life program; • Joined the Urban adaptation and community learning for a RESilient Simeto Valley research team working with primary and secondary educators and students within the Simeto Valley in Sicily to collect and analyze spatial data in order to realize local community projects; • Attended and assisted in the Tecnica Urbanistica course and lab in the Department of Engineering and Architecture (DICAR); and • Began partnering with local ecological groups in Catania as a voluntary researcher. ***Unfortunately, my grant was suspended preemptively due to COVID-19. • Kick-started the Somerville Redevelopment Plan through analyzing the existing conditions, establishing a best practice framework, and igniting community engagement; and • Compiled and revised the University of Memphis' Shared Prosperity Strategy, indicating how the university could bolster its initiatives in order to serve as an anchor institution to nearby neighborhoods.

• Continued the project behind an experimental graduate course addressing the resiliency of the North Memphis community to extreme rainfall alongside the Department of Civil Engineering and the Department of Earth Sciences; and• I aided Dr. Jae Chin (Department of City and Regional Planning) in furthering his research in (1) quantifying the value of alleyways and redefining this older city form in terms of a linear green space and (2) an initial framework for quantifying the outcomes of Public-Private Partnerships. • Led neighborhood projects and Clean Memphis clean-up initiatives; • Aided in igniting developing Police Joint Agencies (PJAs) through education on best practices; • Engaged local community and business leaders within Clean Memphis’s 28 neighborhoods; • Researched initiatives for plastic bag banning, public space recycling, and adopt-a-median PILOT programs; and • Partnered with Landmark Training Development Company to create a site design for a pocket park in the Orange Mound neighborhood to present to Service Master.
