      Performs CAE sample preparation and inspection: weld identification, measurements, plasma cutting, rough sectioning, polishing, imaging, measurements & preparation of reports and maintenance of health charts. • Complete weld destructive testing, dimensional, CAE first off/ last off and in process verifications as per DYNA-MIG requirements to the priority schedule and providing timely feedback to Production, Quality and/or Engineering. • Prepares and submits test results and rejected reports to Production Supervisors, Quality and Managers and maintains/ files, records, ensuring document control; all appropriate paperwork is completed, filed & retrievable. • Ensure in-process & rejected parts are segregated, identified, and quarantined or scrapped following the DYNA-MIG process as applicable. • Maintains & updates priority boards & provides progress reports to Weld Quality Team Leader and/ or Mfg. representatives. • Conducts Layered Process Audits (LPA's) as per released schedule. • Provides input into resolving quality problems as well as feedback on the viability of improvements. • Responsible for maintaining all CAE 5S; lab equipment, inventory, and facilities in state of readiness, repair, cleanliness & organization. • Backup duties include completion of floor QA s inspections & related tasks as maybe needed • Train other assigned personnel in the CAE process as necessary. • Other duties as required by the Quality Supervisor • Responsible to protect own health and safety by working in compliance with established safe work practices and procedures.
