    • Project Technical Assistant (Placement Student)
      • Aug 2016 - Aug 2017

      • I learnt graphical programming using LabVIEW to program a software that successfully improved the camera vision of an NDT inspection robot and is still used. • Further applying my LabVIEW knowledge, I effectively cooperated in the creation of a software to control an X-Ray Source. • After learning Autodesk’s EAGLE software, I designed several printed circuit boards for high speed connectors. • Being proactive, within 1 month I was not afraid to approach my manager to involve me in more challenging projects proving that I am flexible, self-motivated, willing to learn and to push my limits. • Further improved my communication skills by delivering several technical presentations during technical meetings and writing technical reports on the projects I was involved in. • Showed effective organisational and time-management skills by handling multiple project tasks and keeping deadlines. • Exposed to the importance of Health and Safety Regulations and Risk Management as my tasks required laboratory work and working areas with X-Rays. • Furthermore, manually assembled and optimised the design of a NDT rail track scanner/structure. • Oct 2012 - Jun 2016

Supervised the team to deliver an outstanding customer service and offer a pleasant experience to the customers. Coordinated the team members before each shift by allocating sections, assigning individual tasks (e.g. keep all the candles lit throughout the night, organize menus at the stand during the shift etc. attention to detail tasks mainly). Created incentives in order to increase the ‘Spend per Head’ therefore the sales of the restaurant. Professional attitude to promote specials, cocktails etc. whilst delivering high customer service standards. Handled customer issues promptly using the guidelines I received at regular trainings. Collaborated in the training and development process of the front of house team members. Involved in the promotion of the restaurant locally using social media. My job has taught me how to be self-reliant in handling challenging situations using my initiative and problem solving skills. As fully involved in the customer service, I have gained excellent communications skills as well as how to build and maintain relationships with customers. As I was also working as a waiter, I am able to experience different roles within the team environment. I can easily adapt to any role being driven by commitment to excellence and with a focus on adding value to the team. Show less

    • Animator
      • Jun 2011 - Aug 2011

As an animator, I was mainly involved in organizing yoga and aqua gym sessions throughout the day, mainly for adult guests in the resort. Every morning I walked around the park and had a chat with the customers telling them about the activities offered by my colleagues and myself and try to encourage them to get involved and make their relaxing more diverse. Later in the early evening the whole team performed a dance show, cabaret or musical depending on the schedule. After the performance, each evening we were rehearsing for the biggest event – musical – of the week. Furthermore, I took part in controlling the technical side of the shows and activities by setting up and controlling the sound and light system. This summer I learnt that no matter the little experience in a field, with creativeness and confidence I can learn the basics of an activity and be able to deliver them on a level which is enjoyable and unique. Moreover, I developed skills to build up and maintain a good relationship with guests by using friendly approach and gaining their involvement in the activities I held. Furthermore, commitment to valuable teamwork and endurance was essential all the time, especially when we had to rehearse for hours each night for the musicals, learning the scripts and choreographs in order to perform an amazing show. Not to mention, the improvement of my Italian as I had the chance to practice it throughout the summer. Show less

    • Tour Guide
      • May 2010 - Sep 2010

I had my first serious job in Spain as a tour guide in a zoo. Throughout the day I was guiding a group of 30-40 people around the zoo, by pointing out interesting information about the animals and some plants. Each tour I conducted I had to make sure it fits in the schedule of the animal shows and safaris offered by the park. My main aspiration for this summer was to improve my Spanish language skill. However, I have learnt so much more. Each day I had to create a timetable for my group which doesn’t clash with other tour guides’ schedule, this not only enhanced my time management skills but also helped to boost my organisational skills as well. I also learnt the importance of commitment and attitude to the job, as the happier my guests’ left the park the more tours I received to conduct and the more money I could earn. Of course this needed effective customer engagement, which I achieved by genuine enthusiasm for my job, initiating conversation with individuals as well and paying attention to keep the children interested as well.
