      • Dec 2005 - Present

At my current place of employment, I support community inclusion, teach a number of important life-skills, promote good health and self confidence, de-escalate conflicts and document what I do on a daily basis. I teach many life skills including money skills, healthy living including personal hygiene, current events, learning how to take public transit, stranger danger and so on. I organize community inclusion daily by for example providing the opportunity for our members to reach out to seniors at Northcrest Care Center and play a positive role in their lives and forming positive relationships on a weekly basis. I also started an exercise program every morning to help promote good health and positive mood which the members now run independently. I also have taught self advocacy to help the members to not only understand their rights but to know how to apply it in the real world. Show less

      • 2003 - 2010

My responsibilities included organizing and running two soccer practices and one game each week. I worked with children between the ages of five to seventeen, and I often coached up to sixteen children at a time. I was in charge of contacting each player weekly to let them know when and where the game would be. I used my MANDT training to help solve conflicts between players before small problems became bigger. I also did many other small jobs, too many to list them all, some of which were; preparing the fields for the game by putting up the nets and painting the lines around the field, organizing handing out/return of uniforms and other equipment.
