As the Pre-College Initiatives Specialist, my duties include: - The management and expansion of the NSBE Jr. program which promotes STEM learning, competitions, and programming in grade levels 3-12. - Main point of contact for NSBE Jr Chapter Advisors along with NSBE's PCI Regional and PCI National leadership members to facilitate and implement regional and national competitions and programming. - Program partner liaison to maintain and strengthen partner relationships. - Communicate with Sr. Manager of Programs and the Director of Programs & Research to ensure the NSBE Jr. efforts are aligned with the overall goals of PCI and NSBE. - Support other pre-college initiatives, such as the SEEK program. Partnered with leading curriculum developers to lead instruction of high-level thinking concepts, develop in-person, hybrid, and e-learning solutions while enforcing the importance of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. - Advocated for minority led student organizations such as the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE), and Society of Women Engineers (SWE). - Successfully implemented and advised the PCTVS Jr Chapter of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers for 3 years which included more than 100 student members. - Developed and monitored student activities such as Engineering Week, Black History Month STEM Scavenger Hunt, and Women's History Month "Who Are They?" - Advised a team of 5 students through NJSLA's STEAM Tank Challenge which resulted in 3rd place prize.
