Leader of Afera, the European Adhesive Tape Association, comprising over 100 members from 20 European countries. Coordinator of the Association’s activities, manager of its resources and chief administrative officer of its secretariat based in The Hague, The Netherlands, operated by Lejeune Association Management. Responsibilities include: Serving as the central point of contact for the European adhesive tape industry; managing all Association communications, financial administration, membership administration and recruitment, policy and strategy, meetings and events, collaborative projects, interest representation, and membership satisfaction assessment. Projects have included: Shaping and incorporating the Association structure as of 1999; harmonising numerous European and global industry-recognised test methods and standards; creating and launching annual educational events; incorporating all entities within the tape industry value chain into the Association’s membership; establishing the Global Tape Forum; working with FEICA and IVK on regluatory issues; and initiating and rolling out an adhesive tape industry network through social media.
