  I worked as project consultant to investigate the company's impact on local communities and how commercial trade with shea nuts could be improved to benefit both the company and the communities. I created interview guides and a large scale baseline questionnaire, and conducted qualitative and quantitative data through extensive fieldwork in Northern Uganda for 4 months, in 4 different districts across 3 different sub-regions. Focus on the current status in shea communities: what is the role of shea to the local population, and how will an increased commercialisation of shea impact the local collectors and communities. This was measured and analysed through indicators such as education, income, expenditures, struggles, environmental protection, legislation, gender equality, NTFPs, ecosystem services, trade, training and capacity building, women's empowerment, psychosocial wellbeing, sustainability, resilience, coping strategy index, etc. Tools for datacollection included KoBo Toolbox, SPSS, Microsoft Excel, GIS.
