As the Course Director of the MSc International Marketing degree at Strathclyde, one of my most important tasks was to determine admission. Each year we attracted far more applicants than places available. When I first met Alan, it was very evident that we had an individual who was very enthusiastic to learn, notably good humored and someone who possessed the maturity to excel in a very demanding program. Needless to say, Alan proved an exceptionally good student, and one who was equally popular with his peers and the faculty. Since graduating, Alan has displayed a talent for entrepreneurship and has established himself and Energize as one of Europe's leading lights in effective social media. He combines his appreciation of business strategy, his deep marketing insights, and pioneering use of social media to develop skills invaluable to businesses and organizations regardless of size or nationality.
