During my tenure at M-Lab (Materials, Mechanics, and Microfluidics) in the Department of Chemical Engineering at IIT Bombay, under the mentorship of Professor Abhijit Majumder, I conducted research to investigate the mechanosensitive properties of NEAT1, a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA). This project involved exploring the lncRNA NEAT1's responses to mechanical stimuli, shedding light on its mechanobiological functions. This experience expanded my expertise in RNA biology, experimental design, data analysis, and scientific communication. I am proud to have contributed to the understanding of NEAT1's mechanosensitive nature and look forward to further advancements in the field of mechanobiology. Show less

I was working as an intern in DBT-ICT to study the growth and treatment of rot-causing pathogens in Ginger plants. We have successfully isolated and characterized the rot-causing pathogens in these ginger crops, and we worked on addressing treatment strategies for these disease-causing microorganisms. During my time at the center, I also contributed to another project on determining the effect of antimicrobial chemical agent on high-density polyethene to reduce biofilm formation.
