Computer Aided Design Engineer

During my working time at Ophardt R + D GmbH + Co. KG, I was involved not only in the construction and design process of product prototypes, but I also had to build product prototypes using production machines. This gave me the valuable experience of participating actively in every stage of the product development process, starting from the first sketches to the final assembly. Furthermore, I was responsible for finding and testing new coating materials for aluminum boats, as well as adhesives. Here are the key points of my work experience at the company: - (co-) developed and constructed five ergonomic boat cockpits, and three prototypes for innovative devices - worked in a small international team with product designers - experienced all stages of the product development process: from 2D sketches through rapid prototyping using foam, through CAD design to prototype manufacturing using standard workshop equipment (milling, turning machines, bending and punching machines) - three years of experience in working with aluminum - construction and design using SolidWorks and ProEngineer - one year responsible for research for industrial coatings and adhesives
