  I am the medical director of Assia Bariatric – an Israeli Center for Bariatric Surgery. Assia Bariatric is a high-volume multidisciplinary bariatric center of excellence operating in a private-hospital setting in Tel Aviv, Israel. The center is composed of 4 fellowship-trained bariatric surgeons, a plastic surgeon, an endocrinologist, a gastroenterologist, 2 psychologists, 2 bariatric dietitians, clinical and administrative coordinators. I have completed my residency in general surgery in Wolfson hospital, Holon, Israel and two years of fellowship training in bariatric surgery and minimally invasive surgery at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA, under the directors: Prof. Henry Buchwald and Dr. Sayeed Ikramuddin. I am the secretary of the Israeli society for metabolic and bariatric surgery. I have presented and published multiple research articles in bariatric surgery.
