  - Responsibility for all aspects of the lab, including: instruments/equipment, users of the lab, and supplies needed to ensure the lab runs efficiently.- Update and maintain the Lab Safety Plan/Manual and the SDS Manual.- Implements new programs, methods, instrumentation, and procedures by investigating alternatives; preparing proposals; developing and performing parallel testing; monitoring progress.-Manages the filing and upkeep of all laboratory documents and records along with monthly reports.-Maintains laboratory staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees and provides all records for training to HR.- Provide leadership, management, evaluation and training to all laboratory employees. Design, develop and implement Laboratory training programs.- Monitor and review the results of the quality assurance/control program (PT program, Shewhart system); analyze laboratory data and present data analysis in tabular and graphical forms.- Maintain accurate and thorough records of laboratory procedures and results; prepare analytical work sheets and reports.- Propose/ study renovation of the laboratory including; design, rearrangement of equipment, new equipment and offers/deals with the concerned company and execute the amendments.- Ensures all operations are done and all analysis are done.- Ensures that the operations are done properly according to the latest procedures.- Manages and updates Chemical inventories. Responsible for preparing ordering lists of lab supplies and reagents.- Communicates and enforces laboratory safety rules to chemists working in the lab and ensures all users of the lab are wearing the appropriate safety wear.- Makes sure the employees follow industry standards and safety regulations for handling and disposing of test samples and chemicals.- Responsible for approval of the results and sending it to QA.- In case of urgent situation (like lack of employees), assist in the chemical analysis together with chemist.
