Asmae was hired by one of my brightest talents, my EMEA Finance controller Sami Rais to set up all financial tracking and controlling for all marketing expenditures which were at the level of nearly 200 mln Euros per annum. We had to set up the system from scratch to manage the funds centrally and get transparency of all end market activity (+25 active countries in terms of active spending) to protect the investments and ensure strategic alignement. The challenge was to ensure world class controlling standards with operational pragmatism and multi functional use. She did an outstanding job and through his hands on coaching became very quickly a real asset and could be relied upon to have accurate status of all investments at the tip of her fingers. This alllowed us to be able to take quick central decisions to redirect the funds; especially valuable since the crises dynamics required speed to market.
