The main initiatives/projects that my committee planned this year included: Voter Registration Drive “Clemson Day 101” Shag for Ag: The College of Agriculture, Forestry, and Life Sciences has seen recent cuts in funding. Clemson University Undergraduate Student Government and Alpha Gamma Rho are teaming up to raise awareness regarding budget cuts and the importance of agriculture at Clemson University. This event will include a Pig-Pickin, a Live Band, a Shag Competition, Raffles, and the opportunity to buy a Shag for Ag t-shirt. ACC Lobbying Trip: The ACC Lobbying Trip will be held April 7th through April 8th of 2014. Kayley Seawright, the Student Body President, Parker Rhoden, the Student Body Vice President, Drew Casella, the Undergraduate Student Senate President, and myself will travel to Washington, D.C. to lobby on behalf of Clemson University and the ACC as a whole. Clemson Day at the State House: Clemson Day will be held on May 13th 2014. This is an opportunity for Clemson students to thank our legislatures for all that they do, and to thank them specifically for the funds they allocate for the Life and Palmetto Scholarship funds.
