Amanda is one of the hardest working, most organized, and kindest human beings I ever worked with. To this day I am so grateful we became colleagues turned friends because I look up to her a great deal. Anyone would be lucky to work with or hire Amanda. There is no one like her.

An employee is much more than a robot that performs a task. They are a human who can get tired, burnt out, or feel under appreciated. Amanda understands this completely. After working for Grace Downtown with Amanda as my supervisor for 2.5 years, I can personally testify to her abilities. When I started my internship, she made sure I had all the resources I needed, and would frequently meet with me to discuss current projects and roadblocks I might have run into. She was always there to bounce ideas off of, and often helped me see the problem from a different point of view. While I was working at Grace, I was also balancing undergraduate school. Amanda considered this and offered the ability to work from home if I needed to, as well as taking days off when school projects piled up or when I was exhausted. When life got difficult, Amanda was there to help me professionally and emotionally, there was never a problem I couldn't ask her for help with. Amanda never let my work go unappreciated. When I successfully completed a project for Grace, she would sing my praises. If I encountered a setback, she would encourage me to try again, and offer advice if I requested it. Amanda made my work feel meaningful, which increased my desire to perform at the best of my ability. When my time at Grace was coming to a close, Amanda offered me a plethora of contacts, resources, and her personal assistance with writing resumes and cover letters. She helped me realize what my greatest talents are, and how best to use them. It is clear that Amanda did not see me as a robot who performs IT work for Grace, she saw me as a person with emotions, ideas, and potential. She helped me become the best version of myself, and made sure that I was moving forward in life. While she encouraged me to perform with excellency at Grace, she also made sure I was taking time for myself. By the end of my internship I was a more confident and skilled person, which would not have been possible without Amanda.
