  As part of the EUTOPIA European University pilot project, supported and funded by the European Commission, my role is to lead the careers ambassadors at the University of Warwick in collaborating with our counterparts at the other universities in Belgium, Sweden, France, Slovenia and Spain to aid student mobility and employability in Europe in a post-Brexit context.

  In this role I set up the University of Warwick Languages Students and Alumni Association, allowing students and alumni to build their networks on LinkedIn and boost their career prospects. Furthermore, loss of time in the target language location due to the COVID-19 pandemic led to a lack of expected linguistic progress. To mitigate this issue, I worked alongside the languages department to circulate language improvement resources.

  On my year abroad, I worked in 2 schools in Lens, France. I worked with pupils between the ages of 10 and 18, helping them develop their English language skills with practical speaking exercises to improve their vocabulary and confidence. I provided an invaluable cultural exchange that allowed both the pupils and I to better understand different cultures.
