During my time in Outpatient Rehab at Augusta University Health, I provided comprehensive services for individuals that experienced upper extremity pathologies and injuries. I independently performed the evaluation, treatment, documentation, and discharge process with patients. During my time with ATS kids!, I provided comprehensive services for pediatric patients with varying diagnoses. I independently facilitated the assessment, treatment, documentation, and discharge process. My role as a student was to lead treatment sessions that focused on improving fine/gross motor skills, ADL’s, IADL’s, visual perception, auditory processing, behavioral regulation, social interaction, and sensory integration in children. Upon the end of my rotation, I completed a tactile sensory box for my final project. This included various texture pieces to facilitate improvements in sensory integration and tactile defensiveness. I completed a 100 hour internship with Kidnetics in Greenville, SC. I observed Occupational Therapist's in the clinical setting.
