Miki Johnson, ACC

Ashley facilitated a 3-day workshop for our small full-time team. As a facilitator myself, I paid close attention to the things—small and large—that made Ashley such a key part of our workshop's success. She has an encyclopedia's worth of facilitation and coaching frameworks at her fingertips, but she's also highly flexible and was happy to simply take notes and subtly guide the conversation when we had our own plans for the exercises. She also has an uncanny ability to make lots of different personality types feel heard and safe, while also creating the structure and boundaries needed to make the experience productive. Ashley is in equal parts kind and firm, empathetic and whip-smart. I would recommend Ashley to anyone looking to ensure an important meeting or off-site goes well...if we could, we'd have her facilitate all our meetings!

Ashley facilitated a 3-day working retreat for my team. People were nervous coming in, as a topic on our agenda was a recent incident with deep political/moral implications. Would the conversation bring us closer together, or cause us to doubt each other and the company? On the first day a team member remarked, "this is the question ripping our entire country apart." So, what happened? After the retreat, every single member of our team approached me individually to say "we couldn't have done that without Ashley." I can't think of higher praise. Ashley brought out our best selves. There's a new feeling of connectedness on the team. A level of calm. A sense that, no matter what happens, we can count on each other—to listen, to ask good questions, to give the benefit of the doubt. We have Ashley to thank.
