Specifically, I directly assist the Principal Investigator with managing a multi-year project. Some of my tasks include PCR amplification of DNA, histology, immunohistochemistry, light and confocal microscopy, tissue sectioning and preparation for various serological assays and database management. I also perform data analysis, manuscript writing, protocol design and revision, and field experiments. Additionally, I am certified in radioisotope use and am responsible for managing biohazardous waste for our lab. I have trained over 30 students in laboratory techniques and currently have eight students working and volunteering with me in a lab.
