    • First Choice Quality Lead South Africa
      • Jun 2010 - Jan 2013

In the last 6 months of 2010 I effectively rolled out Path to Quality (which was the alignment of 21 sites to the ISO9001 Quality Management System) and each site as well as South Africa exceeded the required target of 90%. By the end of 2012 I had ensured that all DSC sites had met or exceeded the 95% target and this was confirmed by external audits conducted by DHL UK as well as the various client specific audits. By continuous communication with Quality Champions, Operations Excellence Managers and Site Managers we were able to address any gaps in the various business units and ensure not only client satisfaction but good work morale among staff. In 2012 I was presented with the DHL Supply Chain UKIFEEMEA (UK, Ireland, France, Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa) CEO award for Safety Culture for outstanding contribution to the success of Strategy 2015. • Admin Assistant Health and Safety (BATSA)
      • Mar 2009 - May 2010

I was responsible for Operations Excellence / First Choice i.e. Quality Assurance, Environmental and Operational Performance and assisted Manager with Health and Safety. I managed all the Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions for the site, facilitated the annual reviews and training. By conducting process audits to check for the effectiveness of the Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions we were able to address any non-conformance's (by means of Corrective Actions Preventative Actions) ensuring that any changes that needed to be made to either the actual document or the process were done in accordance with DHL, BATSA and ISO 9001 requirements. After having been in this position for 14 months, I was promoted to Quality Lead South Africa (National) Show less

    • Assistant Operations Manager
      • May 2005 - Aug 2007

Metrofile is a document storage warehouse in South Africa. In May 2005 I was promoted from Personal Assistant to Distribution Supervisor where I had to ensure that all boxes, files, IT tapes and back-ups, etc. were delivered and collected as per service level agreements. I was responsible for all vehicles ensuring that they were maintained on a regular basis and within budget as well as insurance claims, petrol cards, mobile cellphones, etc. In May 2006 I was promoted from Distribution Supervisor to Assistant Operations Manager and was responsible for 45 staff members, which included the distribution, warehouse and vault. While in this position I realized that customer service was often left to the sales team and as a result I set up weekly meetings with the sales team where we addressed any operational issues, this initiative greatly improved customer service.
